I had the weirdest dream this morning. I woke up about 20 minutes before my alarm was supposed to go off, so I immediately rolled over and fell back to sleep. During those 20 minutes, I dreamed that I bought and planned to move to a sheep station in New Zealand.

Okay, what does that mean? Am I having flashbacks of the Thorn Birds? I haven’t seen that since the 1980’s. Has my desire to move from crocheting to knitting gone a little crazy? Have I groomed one too many fluffy dogs and feel the need to shear sheep? The thought of eating lamb grosses me out.

The interesting thing is that I don’t like to fly, so I am not sure how I would get to New Zealand!

I looked up the meaning of dreams on three different websites. They were all completely different. I guess I can interpret the dream however I want to.

1. The Meaning of Dreams – Sheep – “A sheep can stand for the part of you that prefers to conform to society’s expectations. If you dream that you are taking care of sheep, you may be looking for spiritual growth.” Maybe.
2. Dream Moods – Sheep – “To see sheep in your dream, indicates docility and conformity. You lack creativity, individuality and initiative to venture out on your own. You tend to go along with the group. Alternatively, seeing a sheep signifies your compassion. The dream may also be a metaphor on being sheepish. Perhaps you have done something wrong. To see a black sheep in your dream, symbolizes greed and temptation. The dream may also be a metaphor for someone who represents the black sheep in your family. Perhaps it is you who is the non-conformist.” I consider myself creative and do not go along with the group. I am more of a non-conformist. I vote no on this one.
3. Dream Forth – Sheep – “To see sheep in your dream suggests that you are afraid to embark on innovative endeavors and experience new adventures. You are perfectly comfortable remaining stationary and following the opinions or directions of others.” I hate following others and I am pretty innovative as a small business owner. However, I am sort of a foot dragger when it comes to new adventures.

So, I still don’t know what this dream means. If nothing else, it started the creative juices flowing this morning so I can write the articles that are due on Sunday!
